Low G-I Vegetarian Cookbook by Rose Elliot

LOW-GI VEGETARIAN COOKBOOK, BBC Books 2007

I have the previous version called Fast Fresh and Fabulous.  I use this book very week.  What I love about Rose Elliot’s books is I can look in the cupboard and fridge and normally find a recipe in one her books to use up what I have without having to get anything more.  It’s great when I have not planned ahead! See my other posts for more Rose Elliot books.

Description:

Low-GI Vegetarian Cookbook is essentially a new and beautiful large paperback-with-flaps edition of my book Fast, Fresh and Fabulous. The picture on the front is the same but there is a large, clear GI foods table, an expanded section of ‘Get Slim and Stay Slim’ and other new content throughout. This is a healthy way to eat, the food is easy to make and delicious and if you need to lose weight the pounds will gently melt away until you reach the right weight for your body.

What the reviewers said:

‘I love Rose Elliot’s … quick after-work ideas … Thai beancakes made with cannelli beans, lots of tofu…’

Caroline Boucher, OBSERVER FOOD MONTHLY

‘Proof that vegetarian food doesn’t have to be dull … there’s a nice balance between the unusual and the comforting’

The Best Cookery Books of 2003 in THE WEEK

‘Full of healthy and delicious recipes inspired by Mediterranean and Far Eastern cooking … simply delicious’

HERE’S HEALTH

‘Her energising dishes will inspire even the most carnivorous cook to try something different’
